I've always been into content creation. I have always loved the concept of visualizing perspectives aesthetically and present it in the form of content. Furthermore, involved with photography, content writing, editing, and now, finally a podcast. The Anoushka Pradhan Show aka T.A.P.S is a concept I always visualized and wanted to bring forth to the youth but I just didn't know how. I knew I wanted to get familiar with content creation in a way but podcasting was a whole new journey altogether.
As an artist, I have plans to cumulate my own aesthetic in a visual concept such as film making, cinematography, photography and so on but I had so much to share in terms of the current youth, the pandemic, college experiences, anything that could give the teens of our generation a push towards creativity while at the same time keeping it chill, candid yet authentic.
The name behind T.A.P.S is a funny story really. My brother and I were having a conversation over chai and he mentioned I should really put my overall talkative energy into something productive. Of course it was the first wave quarantine, and naturally I was way too lazy but to be honest, the whole idea of a podcast intrigued me. I thought it would be super easy and simple to execute, I was under the impression that I just had to talk and edit it out. The thing is, there was more to it.
I had to form a team for the podcast towards editing, marketing, and communication and that was pretty easy to do, thanks to discord but the whole work behind grabbing the attention of an audience and maintaining it for a longer period of time isn't really a piece of cake. There's a constant pressure to keep changing topics throughout while at the same time keeping the flow consistent. Of course, it was naturally sort of easier to execute due to the sheer interest and passion but no way was it "easy".
The main reason why I started T.A.P.S in the first place is because of an personal interview in a radio company. I was told my content was bland, and downright boring and as a person who takes their work extremely seriously and as a perfectionist, that made me want to come out with an art form with pure determination. I knew at the back of my head that if I come out with a podcast, it has the potential to reach many and impact the youth while maintaining my form of aesthetic.
So I didn't think twice and just went for it a week later. I talked to a bunch of people about podcasting, understood the concept of it, formed a crew, and recorded my very first episode. I didn't even have the right equipment, I didn't have a mic, recorded the entire episode in a dingy ass room. But I am very well aware that it's the content and the grasp that you hold with it that matters the most in a podcast. I'm not implying that you shouldn't go for a decent set, but if you don't, that works perfectly well.
I'm finally towards the end of Season 1 of my podcast and I plan on taking it forward with Season 2 on Youtube. Currently it's up on Spotify, but soon, I will switch to Youtube as well. I'm gonna keep making my content with the same intention to provide a sense of aesthetic and executing my ideas with the intention of a true artist. Additionally, whatever comes with it, be it good or bad, is just a journey I'm yet to explore and I look forward to that.
This is just the beginning of T.A.P.S :)
